Cassius Marcellus Clay was his birth name but we know him as Muhammid Ali. The greatest fighter of all time. Ali philanthropic work and social activism are well noted. He is unafraid to speak his mind on the social injustice of the times. In 1964 his refusal of the draft in Vietnam due to his religion was looked upon by many as an egregious mistake. This was a stellar moment in his career. He would not stand down due to his commitment to the Muslim faith. This act forced him to be stripped of his title as well as being banned from boxing for 3 years. He remains a revolutionary fighter in life as well as in boxing.
