" It's Passmenterie My Dear Watson".....

Passmenterie; a decoration or adornment on a garment what a lovely term.  This fashion term is used to describe trimming on Haute Coutre Clothing or furniture.  Although it is used to describe trimming like lace, bows, rope or tassels on clothing I vote for the term to include eyeglasses.
Why you might ask?  Eyeglasses are to be considered a trimming a way to frame your face. It is a completion of a look whether sunglasses or prescription.  Eyeglasses are a necessary accoutrement. They have proved themselves in the fashion industry.  So my vote is for eye wear a necessary passmenterie in Fashion.
